Add a whole new dimension to your desktop and give it a 3D look with Yod'm.

Yod'm 3D is a virtual desktop manager that lets you organise your open windows in a new and exciting way. Everything now takes on the look of a cube, with each side of the cube displaying a different window that you have open.

In order to get the most out of this software, you need to learn the different key combinations in order to be able to switch between the windows.
- CTRL+SHIFT+ Left/Right = Next/prev desktop
- CTRL+SHIFT+ Up = Activate and show a "far" view of the current desktop, Left and right to turn the cube
- CTRL+SHIFT+ Down = Activate and show a "near" view of the current desktop, Left and right to turn the cube

Otaku Software has acquired Yod'm 3D from Chris'Soft and will continue to develop the software under the name DeskSpace.

*Whistle*

This is nothing more then just trying to make your computer a little more interesting and futuristic. And guess what, it works. While using this it’s nothing short of a little enjoyable add on. It doesn’t take that long to get used to all the buttons and the little ins and outs.

How very bizarre.

After reading the first review, coupled by the same sense of confusion from the screenshot, I really didn't know what to expect from this. But, I to was really surprised. At first I though it was the open windows that took the form of the cube, but it in fact offers you 4 entirely seperate Desktops.

This is excellent on so many levels one particularly if you different projects on the go, you can dedicate at least one side to this.

A really great tool.

I have to say, this piece of software is pretty cool! When I downloaded it I wasnt expecting too much, and the screenshot shown on this webiste looks a bit too fancy for a piece of freeware. But once installed and once I worked out how to use the thing, it really does make your desktop 3D and makes it very easy to manage your open windows and applications. It takes a bit of time though to remember that your desktop is now 3D and not just the one screen! :-)

After installation, its possible to select from a multitude of languages, and once this has been selected, an icon appears in your task bar. Nothing else seems to happen! But the software is running. By holding down the Ctrl + Shift + Up cursor, your desktop suddenly moves into the 3D mode. To rotate the cube, which your desktop has now become, keep holding down the Ctrl + Shift keys, but this time use them in combination with the left or right cursors to rotate the cube.

Kind of cool.......
