Editor's Review

GOOGLE EARTH is an application from google which shows you a virtual globe and lets the user travel anywhere in the world and look at satellite imagery, maps, terrains, 3D buildings, street views and lots more. Google Earth is a very fun application for messing around with and is a brilliant and easy to use tool for learning about our planet.

Google Earth is one of the best free-ware programs available on the internet and I feel everyone should download, install it and have a play around just to see the massive capabilities of this application. Some of the features included are

Flight Simulator.

Google Sky.

Google Mars.

Google Moon.

Oceans (Underwater Terrain).

Inbuilt Web Page Viewer.

Tour Creation.

Business Search.

Historical Maps and Data.

3D Street View.

There is also a variety of extra add ons to enhance the program even further some of which we have on our website including Wikipedia, Geotagged flickr and Weather. If you are a business professional and want to use the program for a more serious agenda you can upgrade to Google Earth Pro for around 300 dollars per system per year and gain a lot more additional features.

The only not so good thing about this program is that it is going to take up a lot of your system's memory to run to its full capacity. Although you can use the options menu to customize the application to run on fewer resources if your computer is not handling the program very well.

Explorer the world without leaving the comfort of your own home.

Reviewer: tankuid - View all of My Reviews

I found Google earth a fun program to use, with the many built in features like Earth, Sky, Mars and Moon view you can explorer for hours without leaving your home.

The detail given by google earth ranges depending on your systems capability having a high end system I was able to see the images in a very detailed view.

I had not used Google Earth in sometime, when I first used Google Earth there was only 2 view Earth and sky. I like the addition of the Moon and Mars views.

The moon view gave some detailed images of the Moon's surface along with historical facts about the moon landing and other exploration events from every nation in the world.

The Mars view is pretty much the same as the moon view with details regarding landscapes features missions to the red planet, along with geographical information and pictures.

There is the additional view I really enjoy playing with, that is the Flight Simulation mode this
really fun. You can fly all over the world in one of 2 planes. Set your starting location and then fly to anywhere you wish, this view is purely for fun and I found this a really good addition.

For those who are new to Google Earth there are countless tutorials online in both text and Video format so in no time you can be using google Earth to its full potential.

There are countless add-ons out there for google earth expanding the use for google earth to no end.

Overall I enjoy playing about with this application, it is an enjoyable and fun application to play with.

Good O'l maps

Reviewer: Nthngurgel - View all of My Reviews

This program is not much different then a lot of the other satellite programs out there. On a rainy day with nothing to do, this can be used for a cheap thrill, but that’s about all it is good for. There are plenty of programs like this out there, but this one might get the most attention simply because it has the name Google attached to it. If you have never played around with something like this I suggest you do, as it is fun for awhile. But if you have, you won’t be that impressed.
