Editor's Review

If you need a tool to give you detailed information on your system, Everest home edition is an option. Everest home edition is a free system information and system diagnostics tool, although discontinued and no longer supported by the makers LAVALYS. It will give you full system information on older systems but with newer systems it might not have all the information available

Everest home edition will give you detailed information on motherboard, CPU, video adapters, monitors, storage devices, network adapters, multimedia, input devices, miscellaneous hardware, operating system, networking , installed software, hardware motoring and benchmarking.

This tool is small in size, light, fast and has lots of features. It is also very accurate at determining what you have in your system.

The problem is that it is no longer supported by the makers, so the tool is not going to recognise the newest of systems hardware and software. So I would recommend using Piriform's Speccy if you want an up to date free system information tool. Another option would be to trial or buy one of the new quality products from LAVALYS called AIDA64 available in business and extreme edition.

This program does the job that some other programs do except it does it badly. I am not impressed at all with this. I suggest you guys keep on walking and find something better. I'm giving it three stars though because it is easy to use and does give you a good overview.
