DriveImage XML
DriveImage XML backs up your data.

Secure your data with the Freeware Drivelmage XML. This free backup tool allows you to create XML images of your hard disk that are in FAT, 12, 16, 32 and NTFS formats. The program uses Microsoft Volume Shadow Services ( VSS ).

Finished images can be searched and replaced onto your computer without restarting.

DriveImage XML creates and restores back-up of hard drives and partitions.

DriveImage seem to be your standard drive image software, with one exception you can create “ Hot images “ as they software calls them, this means as with most software of this genre you need to reboot in order to create /restore your images.

I found that this was not the case with DriveImage I was able to make a back up of my hard-drive without the need to restart the computer.

Having only a small HD in which my windows is installed this being only 20gig, I found that was I unable to store my 50 gig of files on my secondary Hard drive.

DriveImage was ideal for me as I was able to create on image of my secondary Hard drive, and have the image I was creating placed on the secondary Hard drive without any conflicts or errors.

The software has the usual option Back up, restore, drive to drive and browse. These are pretty much the basic option for this type of software.

As a way to back up and restore drives and partitions I found this quick and easy to use.

If you are looking for a good Freeware program to back up your important data I would recommend this.
